Principal Welcome Letter 

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! I am beyond honored and humbled to be named principal of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School (OLMC). As a parent, educator, and parishioner I am heavily invested in the growth and development of our students, and community at large. To lead within my local community is a true gift!

I have been a special education and classroom teacher in the public school system for Danbury, Newtown, and Waterbury. In each location, I have learned a great deal, and have gained valuable experience that has informed my teaching and leadership. I made the transition to Catholic Schools in February, when I began here at OLMC as Vice Principal. My time spent here has been incredibly rewarding, and I am so grateful to the staff, students, and families for your continued support and trust.

This school year presents an exciting opportunity to begin writing a new chapter for our school! While there will be many changes to adjust to, one thing will always remain a hallmark of our school: our close-knit, family-centered approach.  This school year, together, we will seek what I consider to be a fundamental component for success: continuous improvement. As a staff and community, we will not settle for mediocrity. We will seek to hold each other accountable to our mission statement, which mirrors the mission of the Archdiocese: 

Our Lady of Mount Carmel serves to educate the whole child by forming their mind, heart, body, and spirit. As a Catholic school, we offer our students the opportunity to encounter something greater as they grow in their God-given gifts. 

I am very excited to enter into a new chapter at OLMC alongside you. Together, we can accomplish our mission of forming the mind, heart, body and spirit of our children by prioritizing their spiritual health, academic growth, and engagement within the community.
